Organ concerto with opera vocals and flute
Organ Concert
Construction work on the Basilica began in 1851 based on the plans of Miklós Ybl, and was finally completed in 1905 – with the cooperation of József Kauser. In the following fifty years, the church building was hit by wars, storms and earthquakes, and then it was renovated in the period from 1983 to 2003.
The material for the concert was compiled by organist Miklós Teleki, who is one of Hungary’s best organists. The arias are performed by Kossuth award-winning artist Kolos Kováts, one of Hungary’s most famous opera singers. Eleonóra Krusic, who has performed with various orchestras countless times both abroad and in Hungary, will also participate in the concert with flute accompaniment. Our guests can choose from category 3, which is determined by the distance from the altar. There is a first-come, first-served basis, with seats that can be freely chosen within the category.
