The construction of the roundabout does not stop even in the pouring rain

--

The milling machine rumbles loudly during the construction of the new roundabout in Tata. As the machine moves on, the workers shovel away the remaining asphalt debris. In the meantime, the rain pours persistently, but apparently this does not interfere with the work either. Construction continues to protect the raincoat and hood.

The construction manager of the roundabout, István Király, told Kemma.hu that the weather is not stopping the work. If necessary, tasks are reorganized and work is carried out that is not hindered by the rain. As he said, they were lucky on Wednesday, because the asphalt was planned to be etched, which is not disturbed by the pouring rain. But, for example, they wouldn’t be able to pave asphalt in the rain.

The construction of the roundabout does not stop

– About eighty percent of the road has to be dug up. Because it is currently too high. We also have to spread a five-centimeter-high asphalt on it, which has to fit the edges, and we also have to ensure the slope due to the drainage – explained the construction manager, who said that the construction of the roundabout will not be delayed due to the weather. In fact! It is planned that traffic can start at the intersection before the end of May.

József Michl, also the mayor of Tata reported on his social page about the works taking place at the roundabout. As he said: it starts from the lake shore and connects to the Dunaalmás section bicycle path they have reached another stage of its construction. The sidewalks and certain sections of the bike path are already partially ready for asphalting.

The asphalt is coming

The head of the city also talked about what kind of work will take place in the coming days.
– If all the sidewalk islands and the central deflector island are completed, asphalting can begin next week. They dig up the old asphalt and put in the new. Here on Fényes Fasoru, cyclists will be diverted to the road, to a protective painting, and here they will have to cross over to the new bicycle path in front of the social home, the construction of which will begin after the completion of the construction of the roundabout, explained the mayor.
