The basis of the non-commissioned officer training of the Hungarian Armed Forces is the “Steel Cube” program, after completing which the young “small soldiers” specialize. For example, towards the maintenance of rotorcraft – the MH press department informed about the training.
– Servicing helicopters in the Hungarian Armed Forces requires a high level of knowledge. Students acquire the basic technical knowledge during a two-year civil training. After that, a six-month specialization follows, in the case of helicopters, three types of specialization are possible even within one type: one is responsible for the engine and frame structure, the other is for electronics and radio equipment, and the third is an expert in armor and weaponry, said Péter Molnár, MH of Szolnok. József Kiss, Sergeant Major of the 86th Helicopter Brigade.
Lives may depend on your service
Anyone who wants to be a helicopter maintainer must take on serious responsibility, as lives may depend on his service. A good specialist is characterized by precision, conscientiousness, cooperative skills and excellent technical sense.
Veteran Róbert Varga was inspired by his family to enter the military, he was always open to the tasks and challenges of the air force.
This is a responsible challenge
– I am interested in helicopters, especially the H225 type. Our instructors are helpful, they answer anything we ask, and we receive thorough preparation before each exam. I can only recommend the “Steel Cube” training to all young people who are looking for a secure and responsible profession – we learned from him.
After completing the basic non-commissioned officer training, the “Steel Cubes” specialize in different fields. One of the popular choices of technically inclined soldiers is helicopter maintenance: on April 16, the students could see how the technical maintenance of the H145 and H225 rotorcraft takes place at the MH József Kiss 86th Helicopter Brigade in Szolnok.
