“The MSZP broke the Ajka agreement, because the opposition candidates would have run in the elections with the nomination of the Közön Ajkaért Egyesület, but the old-left party was able to change a form when announcing the candidates, so the logo of the MSZP was also on the paper,” the Momentum Movement announced on Tuesday morning. Added:

Because of what happened, Momentum is taking legal action and will run independently in the elections in Ajka.

You can also see on the website of the National Electoral Office that the MSZP is also blooming in addition to the logo of the Közön Ajkaért Egyesület. According to Ajkai Szó Online, Andrea Vallerné Horváth, the president of the association, announced in March that the ten individual representative candidates and the persons running on the compensation list are supported by five parties: the Democratic Coalition, Jobbik – Conservatives, the Hungarian Socialist Party, Momentum, and Párbeszéd – The Green Party.

This is not the first time that Momentum and MSZP have kicked the dust together. As we wrote earlier, it was said that the Momentum Movement will also officially support Gergely Karácsony’s mayoral candidacy, but the party is not listed among the nominating organizations on the website of the National Elections Office.

According to Momentum, this is the fault of the “old left”, while the co-president of the MSZP, according to Anná Donáth, threatens Gergely Karácsony’s majority in the Capital Assembly. Both parties spoke to our newspaper about the matter.
