April is the month of overbreeding
Every year in April, the Earth Day initiative draws our attention to the protection of the Earth’s nature and environment. Zoltán Seres considers responsible animal husbandry to be followed in relation to animals. It’s not a big deal, he said, and the behavior doesn’t cost much more money. Let our animals have a suitable place to keep them, take care of their well-being and health, and devote free time to taking care of them properly. April is the busiest month of spring, the breeding season for pets. Unfortunately, in Hungary, far more dogs and cats are bred than there are responsible owners, so many individuals are born and die in miserable conditions. Animal protection organizations and animal shelters cannot take in as many individuals as remain unadopted, so the problem continues to spin like a squirrel’s wheel. the sterilization of dogs and cats, so that no more unnecessary reproductions are born for the pets. Every year, the animal protection association provides 600 families with a subsidy for sterilization of their pets kept outdoors, which can be used in six-month rotations.
