Several types of Simson were produced, the most popular being the S51 and S53 models. Their performance was almost identical, the differences were only in the equipment. At the beginning of the 2000s, Simson ceased to exist, but today the brand is almost experiencing its second heyday. The first pieces that officially arrived in Hungary had no index, horn, only a bell, and to a speed of 45-50 km/h they were able.
According to Ferenc Tábori, the Simsons are easy to assemble, and there are still many parts for them. The S51 model became so popular that it was even available in Cuba.
There may still be many pieces in our country, which is why collectors are able to sell almost any number if it is in good condition. As the growing demand has driven up prices, many have specialized in this business: they buy it, and after a little improvement, they make a huge profit.
