According to data from Szallas.hu, there is an 18 percent increase in the number of reservations to Croatia compared to the pre-bookings made up to the same time last year. Based on the reservations made, the gross mediated room revenue and the number of guest nights, the average price per person per night in Croatia is HUF 13,602, which represents an average price increase of 11 percent compared to last year.

In the case of apartments, the average price per person and night is HUF 11,180, and in hotels HUF 34,290

– He told Tímea Molnár, manager responsible for Croatia and Austria at Szallas.hu. Demand also moves prices:

  • in July, the most expensive (HUF 14,120) average price per night for one person,
  • but August is not much cheaper either (HUF 13,800).
  • On the other hand, in May, June and September, the average price is between HUF 11,300 and HUF 12,650.

Most of them vacation on the Croatian Adriatic in July (42%) and August (39%). Although the main season is still a long way off, there is growing interest in the pre- and post-season as well, as the prices are more favorable and there are not as many tourists. The May bookings increased by 32 percent, the September bookings by 19 percent, and the June bookings by 12 percent compared to the bookings received in the same period last year (until April 15).

Based on our booking data, the Kvarner Gulf, the Zadar and Split regions of Dalmatia are the most popular

Tímea Molnár said. Based on the bookings received so far, the most popular settlements among Hungarians are Vir, Crikvenica, Medulin, Starigrad and Zadar. According to the reservation data of Szallas.hu, the reservations received so far have shifted towards apartments: 78 percent of the reservations for the 2024 season chose this type of accommodation.

Half-board was requested only for every tenth reservation, 5 percent chose breakfast, and only one percent requested all-inclusive service.

Most people (27%) booked for 7 nights, 20-20% of those staying for 5-6 nights, and around 13% of those staying for 4 nights. Croatia is an attractive destination for both couples and families this year as well: almost every third reservation is for 4 people, and every fifth is for two people.
