Charges have been brought against a man on whose laptop pornographic recordings of children were found, MTI announced.
Ferenc Szanka, the spokesperson of the Csongrád-Csanád County Prosecutor’s Office, announced on Monday that the man is charged with the crime of child pornography by making a pornographic recording of a person under the age of 12.
According to the indictment, in February 2022, the man living near Szeged uploaded pornographic videos of children under the age of twelve to his storage. In addition, in the years before the indictment, he downloaded and then deleted 86 recordings from his laptop in which minors engaged in sexual acts, the Acting Deputy Prosecutor General informed.
Several similar cases have occurred in recent months. In February, with the help of Interpol and foreign partner authorities, the police arrested two pedophile men. The 37-year-old suspect published child pornography on a dark web forum, which his 42-year-old friend had taken of his own child. The 37-year-old man was suspected of child pornography, while the 42-year-old man was suspected of child pornography and sexual violence. The investigators took them into custody and initiated their arrest, which was ordered by the Esztergom District Court in the meantime.
Also in February, a 62-year-old orphanage educator was arrested in Békésen, who was suspected of molesting the boys placed in the institution. “According to the data of the proceedings, the suspect sexually molested two teenage boys entrusted to his supervision on several occasions. The investigating authority initiated the arrest of the suspect, which was ordered by the court on February 23 at the request of the Békés County Prosecutor’s Office,” the police said in relation to the case.
