The Komárom-Esztergom County Police Headquarters is holding a recruitment drive on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 9 a.m. in Esztergom, on the Nagy Duna Promenade.
Who is a contract border hunter?
A new group of staff specially responsible for guarding the state border and preventing illegal migration, which strengthens the staff of the body established to perform general police duties. It carries out patrols in the first line of the border control system, prevents illegal entry attempts at the state border, and arrests and escorts those who have entered illegally to the other side of the temporary security border barrier.
As a contracted border hunter, you will be part of the staff of the Emergency Police Border Hunter Regiment, where you will perform your duties in the jurisdiction of the border police branch of the county police headquarters listed above, with an officer rank.
You can apply for the contract border hunter training if you meet or fulfill the following conditions:
- Hungarian citizenship,
- application age: 18-55 years of age (not yet 55),
- Unpunished life,
- capacity to act,
- a certificate of at least basic education (successful completion of 8 years),
- health, physical and psychological fitness.
Duties of the contracted border hunter:
- guarding the state border,
- reconnaissance,
- interrupting the illegal crossing of the state border,
- taking the necessary measures to deal with a conflict situation directly threatening the order of the state border and mass migration.
What training is required to perform the duties of a contracted border hunter?
The duration of the contractual border hunter training is 160 hours. During the training, you will learn theoretical knowledge related to the use of coercive tools, as well as their practical application, as well as the provisions related to the protection of the state border and contained in the Schengen Border Control Code. The course material contains the knowledge required to pass the written and practical exam.
