Hundreds of dancers at the first half-church meeting

The Constantinum sports center hosted the first Danube-Tisza Senior Joy Dance Meeting on Saturday, April 20. About 400 dancers from the counties of Bács-Kiskun, Csongrád and Pest came to the event.

Those present were organized by the organizer, the head of the Kiskun Senior Joy Dance group, Kocsisné Móczár Julianna greeted him.

– There has never been such a thing in Kiskunfélegyháza, to have so many senior joy dancers in one place. Five years ago, when we started the senior joy dance, we searched the county almost with a lasso for someone to learn from. There were very few of us and I would like today to symbolize that this movement has become so colorful. Many people got to know its essence and its beneficial effects. A lot of good people can fit in a small place, and I think we will prove that today. in Kiskunfélegyháza, Ferenc Móra and Sandor Petofi city, I would like to say a quote from Móra: “I have learned that one carries the treasure in one’s heart!” We who are in this room not only know, but have actually learned that movement, joy, and brain exercise strengthen this treasure. I think that our spirit has also strengthened a lot since then, he said.

József Csányi In his speech, the mayor expressed his joy that so many people showed up at the event. He emphasized that there are two sports halls in the city and today both are full.

– In the other hall, the young people play table tennis, and here the young people who have been young for a long time show how to play sports all day. He added: This is a very significant year in the life of the city, 1774 Maria Theresa granted us the status of a market town, and this year marks the 250th anniversary of that. We are preparing many events throughout the year, at which we will celebrate this significant anniversary in a dignified way, he said.

Then came the opening production, which was a round dance, where the dancers set the mood for the day. The pleasant rhythms and the joy of the participants affected everyone, thus József Csányi the mayor accepted the invitation and joined the hundreds of dancers for a song.

During the day, the little things were also shown, the students of the Silver Step Dance Studio also took possession of the stage.

The event was supported by Dél-100 Kft., and the students of the Kiskunfélegyházi Közgazdasági Technikum from the Vocational Training Center in Kiskunhalas assisted in the organization.
