At the technical handover of the investment, Péter Szabó, the mayor of Paks, said that the municipality places special emphasis on the development of educational institutions, which is why a new toy was also installed in the yard of the kindergarten in Dunakömlőd. A new playground was added here, and a rubber covering was laid under the existing nest swing and rope pyramid, TelePaks wrote.
A total of more than twenty-six million forints worth of investments have been completed at the two locations – informed Péter Szabó, adding that these developments are being carried out according to the schedule, the municipality has spent a total of more than 120 million forints on institutional playground development in the past five years.
A trampoline has now been placed on the Árnyas utca playground, with a shock-absorbing rubber covering around it, a swinging seesaw has been installed on the Pollack Mihály utca playground, and the sand surface on the Kodály Zoltán utca playground has been replaced by pearl gravel, which has an impact-absorbing effect, at the request of the public.
Improvements also took place in the outer parts of the settlement, in Cseresznyés the playground equipment park was expanded, and in Dunakömlőd the carousel environment was made safe on the playground by the village hall. Péter Szabó informed that the value of the current developments is twenty million forints, and in the last five years, a total of 140 million forints worth of improvements have been implemented on public playgrounds.
