Hungary’s number one pop-acappella ensemble (without instruments), founded in 2001 in Szeged, with multiple international awards Fool Moon Vocal Ensemble gave a concert a Philharmonic Hungary and the László Nagy Municipal Cultural Center and Library jointly organized on April 17. The ensemble already visited Ajka in the fall of 2019, when they also gave a youth concert for students organized by the Philharmonic, and on this evening they mainly sang movie hits. The ensemble will perform at the third, final performance of this year’s Philharmonia pass Vocal Recall was visible and audible, in which instruments were not featured, or only rarely – for a moment at a time. In the all-night light music show, the biggest movie hits of the 1980s and ’90s were performed in an unusual arrangement, in pop, disco, funky and rock styles, and all inserts and soundtracks were played by 5 special male voices.

Together with the ensemble, you can “hoot” in a good mood and with impunity Michael Jackson in a song, or just the Pink Floyd: The Wall everyone could immerse themselves in their own thoughts during the music of the movie.
Often the goal is for the transcription performed by the vocal ensemble to sound almost like the original, but there are times when a well-known piece of music is given a more sophisticated musical guise than the original. The experience is complete if we not only evoke these musics acoustically, but also provide some visual experience, said Barnabás Wodala, one of the band’s members. Therefore, during the screenings at the concert, details of the respective films flashed during the highly successful show, and the team (Bence Vavra – tenor, Tamás Meszáros tenor, Gábor Molnár- tenor, Barnabas Wodala – baritone, Németh Michael – bass) was also able to show his great humor to the Ajka audience in a self-shot video clip.
