The renovated Kisvárda branch of OTP Nyrt., located in the city center, has been welcoming its customers for weeks. The ceremonial opening took place on April 19 among the bank’s employees, local and regional managers, public figures and invited partners.

The legal predecessor of today’s OTP Bank, Országos Takarékpénztár Nemzeti Vállalat, was established on March 1, 1949, and OTP Bank has been in Kisvárda since 1955. During the renovation, a discreet layout, modern equipment and a comfortable environment were created in the bank branch in Kisvárda, which was also completely renovated externally.
At the event András Becsei, the deputy general manager of OTP Nyrt.’s Retail Division, said that the new branch in Kisvárda was equipped with modern equipment. When creating the renewed bank branch, the professionals tried to ensure that customers could manage their banking affairs in a modern, comfortable, discreet environment, and at the same time efficiently, with the help of digital tools.
The sense of comfort is provided by the design of the interior: a combination of carpets laid in an organic pattern, oak surfaces, unique design wallpapers, comfortable, varied seating furniture and lamps covered with felt make up the new, homey bank branch environment. And modern, digital devices, such as tablets, multifunctional displays, digital posters or signature pads, help with quick and simple administration. The separate advisory desk also offers the opportunity for discreet and personalized financial advice. Administration is also supported by a self-service zone and smart ATMs suitable for both withdrawals and deposits.
József Barkó, the managing director of OTP Nyrt.’s Eastern Hungarian Region, gave an overview of OTP’s extensive international network, the bank’s development directions, results, and challenges. He said that the OTP Group operates nearly 1,400 bank branches in Central and Eastern Europe, serving around 16 million customers in eleven countries, and also appeared in the Central Asian region, Uzbekistan. In addition to Hungary, OTP is the market leader in four other countries, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Serbia and Montenegro based on the loan portfolio.
