Emma Stone isn’t really called Emma Stone. He said this in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, in which he and Nathan Fielder talked about the Curse series.
Fielder noted early in the conversation that Stone was actually Emily and not Emma. Stone said that when he wanted to join the American actors’ union, SAG, there was already an actor named Emily Stone. Because of this, she worked as Emma for years and was registered as such.
“Then a few years ago I got hooked. For some reason I was like “I can’t do this anymore.” Just call me Emily.’ Nathan calls me Em, which is easier”
