For the sake of his family, the singer of the fifth season of Megastar decided to give up playing music and take up manual work.
Dávid Szeleczki appeared in the fifth season of Megasztár, but since then he has not really been in the spotlight. Story magazine recently visited the singer, who chose a completely unexpected occupation.
“14 years ago I was still a little boy, only 16 years old. If I don’t apply then, I’m sure I won’t get to many places in the world, and I wouldn’t be the person I am today,” said the former competitor.
Szeleczki also said that he had learned a lot about life and people in recent years. After the Megastar competition, he went to perform in many places in the country and beyond the border. He also moved to Budapest, but after a while the invitations started to decrease, so he started a solo career.
After two or three years, the number of solo performances began to decrease.
I’ve always liked rock music, so later I went in that direction,” said Dávid, who toured several talent shows with his band until they finally disbanded.
At that time, he was looking for another profession, but before that he got married in 2021, and a year later his daughter was born. In 2024, his second child was born, and in the meantime he trained as an electrician.
“A lot of people ask me what’s up with music, but now I’m at a stage in my life where family comes first,” the singer said.
