Covid-19 is still raging in China, and the authorities are implementing the most surprising measures to contain it. Despite the personal quarantine of the contact, the number of infected people in the country set a record. Taxi drivers are no exception to the prevention of the spread of the disease, if necessary, they wait in the car for further measures.

Since there is still a record number of patients suffering from the coronavirus in China, the country’s leadership is trying to contain and curb the spread of the disease as much as possible, but according to experts, this is already becoming unsustainable. They try to follow up every single case, with which they find countless contact persons, so roughly 40,000 infections are reported every day.

According to the media, the Chinese population is annoyed that while other countries in the world strive for herd immunity and coexistence with the disease, they still have serious efforts, strict measures and rules, and long quarantines.

A video taken on November 16th, taken in a province called Guangdong, of a taxi driver being quarantined in his car is going viral. The vehicle was surrounded with tape, and an epidemiologist is standing guard in front of it, making sure that the driver does not get out of the car.

It is known that the taxi driver is only a contact person, and the temporary quarantine ended only after the reliable results of the man’s tests were received. Experts are increasingly concerned that significant resources are being used in situations like this instead of advocating for more widespread vaccination of the population.
