The bZ Sport Cross and bZ FlexSpace study cars, which were introduced at this time last year, reached series production almost without changes: the former may go into production under the name bZ3C, and the latter as bZ3X sometime in 2025.

Both cars were designed by Toyota for young customers, but while the bZ3C appears as a sporty, revolutionary model adapted to the lifestyle of people in their twenties and thirties who are about to start a family, the bZ3X appeals to young families who do not want relaxation and experiences, but spacious, practical, homely transportation. they are looking for a tool.
The foundations are certainly provided by the e-TNGA platform used in the bZ4X crossover and the bZ3 sedan, which, in addition to optional all-wheel drive and LiFePo batteries, also brings advanced driver support and infotainment technologies.
As evidenced by the photos, the clean exterior style features are accompanied by a minimalist interior environment. The decorative elements used in both models are the perforated upholstery and the light: the narrow LED strips used as graphic elements mainly dominate the passenger compartment of the bZ3C. There are almost no traditional controls, everything can be controlled from the central touch screen. The instrument cluster is a small, digital screen, Toyota seems to believe in informing the driver to the point rather than impressing them.
Also a common element is the Lidar unit located in the middle of the windshield frame: the laser sensor is a tool for long-range and accurate environmental detection, and its presence usually indicates a high level of self-driving capability. Whether Toyota’s pair of SUVs will actually have these will be revealed in a year, when the cars go into production.
It is still an undecided question whether Europe will receive one of these models, but the factory is in principle already investigating the possibility of overseas distribution of the bZ3X (i.e. the more angular) version. Until this happens, the cars will only be available in China.
