The suspension has also been redesigned compared to the standard Model 3, the ground clearance is reduced by 10 mm, the upper connection point is stiffer, the stabilizer is assembled from several pieces, the springs are made of high-strength steel and electronically controlled shock absorbers are used – the latter part of the on-board electrical system , so it can receive online updates.
Thanks to this, the Track Mode V3 system was introduced, i.e. the vehicle dynamics control controls the suspension as well as the drive and cooling. The Tesla Model 3 Performance gets 20-inch forged alloy wheels fitted with Pirelli P ZERO 4 tires. Due to tires with better grip, they can more precisely control the power output of the drive motors, which is basically dominated by the rear axle.
Brakes made for the race track already receive high-performance brake pads as standard equipment, which ensure instant braking, higher temperature limits and durability. Model 3 Performance is equipped with our red brake calipers.
In the latest generation of Track mode, the adaptive suspension control is now integrated with a performance-optimized powertrain that instantly reacts to the driver’s movements for maximum control. Whoever turns it on can customize the balance of handling, the sensitivity of the stability control and the regenerative braking on a brand new user interface.
From the outside, in addition to the already mentioned rims, the Tesla Model 3 Performance version can be recognized by the unique front and rear bumpers, the new spoilers and diffuser improve stability at high speeds – the top speed is 262 km/h. In the passenger compartment, ventilated and heated sports seats that provide better lateral support represent the change. Distribution started in Hungary at a price of HUF 22,369,900.
