Police have arrested a 37-year-old woman and are now hunting the man in the video after images and videos shared online of the act in Liverpool’s Concert Square went viral.
The incident happened a few meters from the entrance of the Einstein Bier Haus, and based on the footage, it seems that there was a lot of traffic in the square at the time, reports the DailyStar.
Other footage has also emerged of the pair apparently having sex on Bold Street and on a Merseyrail train service.
Yesterday, the Mayor of Liverpool, Joanne Anderson, described the behavior as “harmful and criminal”.
Chief Superintendent Diane Pownall also shared a strongly worded statement about the incident, saying the party is making the rounds.
Merseyside Police said in an update that a 37-year-old woman from the Bradford area was arrested on suspicion of public indecency. The woman is still being interrogated by the police.
Inquiries are ongoing to identify the man in the video and anyone with further information is being asked to contact police.
