Le Penék is increasingly suspicious of the AfD, after the politicians of the party critical of the German regime may have had unclear foreign relations. Petr Bystron, the politician second on the AfD EP list, is accused of receiving money from Russia; Maximilian Krah, the secretary of the group leader of the AfD in the European Parliament, was arrested on suspicion of spying for China.
“We are not ruling anything out regarding the AfD. We remain very vigilant about their positions”
– declared Alexandre Loubet, head of the EU election campaign of Le Pen’s National Collapse. He condemns Loubet “all interference by any power”and the French party rejects any contact with people involved in this, writes Euractiv.
The official of the National Consolidation maintains the presumption of innocence, but at the same time recommends that
then after the EP elections, return to the relations between Le Pen and the AfD.
These French and German parties are the two leading and most influential members of the radical right-wing Identity and Democracy (ID) party family of the European Parliament, and the third is Salvini’s Italian League.
According to many, a reorganization is expected after the EP elections
– and many people are also preparing this – on the right of European politics. Now, to the right of the European People’s Party, there are the European Conservatives and Reformers (ECR) and Identity and Democracy (ID) party families, and the Hungarian government party, Fidesz, is also a significant player outside of the party families. Only after the EP election will it be decided how the current lineup can be rearranged in the new cycle.
