A popular flu has died of pneumonia aged just 28 after being misdiagnosed by doctors.
The doctors assumed that the triplets Tatielle Ferreira suffering from dengue fever. On April 16, he went to the emergency room in Divinopolis, Brazil, after developing diarrhea and vomiting. From there, he was sent home with medicines. Four days later, the flu returned to the hospital with respiratory problems.
X-rays revealed that Tatielle had pneumonia and doctors prescribed antibiotics before she was discharged again.
His condition worsened that day, and an ambulance took him back to the hospital. He was intubated the next day and taken to a local hospital where he died. Tatielle is survived by her husband and three young children. Her heartbroken husband told local media:
I lost everything, he was my companion. I don’t know how to start again without him.
The grieving family were shocked by Tatielle’s sudden death and accused the doctors of negligence. According to the husband, the doctors should have examined him properly the first time, writes The Sun.
