According to an investigation by the Palestinian Civil Defense, signs of executions were found on the corpses found in a mass grave excavated at the Nasser Hospital in June. They also claim that there are certain signs that there is a prisoner who was buried alive. According to the Israeli army, these claims are completely untrue, they did not harm either the patients or the doctors during the occupation of the hospital.

The Israeli army previously occupied the Nasser hospital in Han Júnis, but they recently withdrew from the area. The Palestinian Civil Defense claims that the bodies of 392 victims were found in mass graves around the hospital. According to the Israeli army, they excavated the ground and examined the dead buried in the area, but later dug them back into the ground. They say: they were looking for the bodies of hostages kidnapped from Israel.

According to representatives of the UN and the European Union, an independent investigation is needed to determine what exactly happened at the Nasser hospital complex. The Palestinian Civil Defense says they are open to such an independent investigation. (Al Jazeera).

Our Thursday summary of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict:

  • Hamas has released a video in which an Israeli-American hostage talks about how the prisoners live in hellish conditions. He said he was 23-year-old Hersh Goldberg-Polin, who was kidnapped by terrorists from the Nova festival on October 7. We wrote about him before, because according to eyewitnesses, he fled to a shelter with others, which was attacked by the Hamas forces with grenades. According to eyewitnesses, Goldberg-Polin threw the grenades one after the other until one blew off his forearm. (BBC)
  • According to the latest announcement by the Hamas-run Ministry of Health, there have been 34,305 deaths from Israeli attacks. Meanwhile, Israel continues to bomb the Gaza Strip.
  • Israel may be preparing to send troops to Rafah, the only Gaza city still free of fighting and where at least half of the strip’s 2.3 million people fled after Israel overran the region’s north. (Guardians)
  • Students at the University of Texas at Austin walked out of class and began demonstrating against Israel’s operations in Gaza. Both city and state police were deployed to stop the demonstration. Mounted police armed with rubber batons pushed back the students and arrested at least 20 participants — including a Fox photographer. (Guardians)
