Since last December, they promised to deliver his car, for which he had already paid the advance payment, but this did not happen almost half a year later, so a man in Argentina resorted to radical means: at the beginning of April, he flew to Buenos Aires with his family, where he barricaded himself with promises in a dizzying car dealership – Oddity Central reported on the incident following local news reports.

The man decided not to expand until he gets his car or until the down payment is repaid. Last year, Abelardo Usandivaras, who works as a horse breeder, decided to replace his old van and buy a new one, but the administration only went smoothly until he paid 10 million Argentine pesos as an advance, more than 4.1 million at today’s exchange rate. HUF.

According to the agreement, he was supposed to receive his car within 120 days, and since then, every attempt to contact the dealership has been unsuccessful. “Since December, the phone has only been transferred from one department to another, the company representative was not even willing to reveal his last name,” said Usandivaras. “The truth is they sold me a truck they didn’t even have. It’s a system where while they’re using your money, they’re trying to get you to do another business.”

Usandivaras claims the dealership eventually told him he would have to pay extra if he wanted a new van, so they offered him another car, even though that wasn’t what was in the original contract. That’s why the man decided to get on a plane with his family and the remaining part of the amount, but after the cooperation of the authorities did not lead to results within hours, he started an unusual protest behind the glass wall of the salon.

“They treated me as if I were a country man who knew nothing, while they knew everything,” remarked the Argentinian man. However, Usandivaras’ campaign had an effect: his campaign received so much attention that the dealership eventually paid him back the advance, so he also solved the car purchase in a different way, he bought a 2021 car, which was used, but arrived with low mileage and in good condition to it.

However, the case will continue, at least Usandivaras plans to file a lawsuit against the company. If only because he got back the same amount as he paid months ago, however – due to inflation – he has already lost its value and bought another car more expensively than he could have done at the end of the previous year, but because of this he will not voluntarily receive any compensation refused to pay the trade.

On the other hand, the Buenos Aires salon claims that it fell victim to a media campaign that was launched with the aim of shutting down the company. Usandivaras’ move was labeled a “dirty war” in a statement published on the company’s website, in which they assured their customers that they would “do everything” to provide the best possible service.
