On the X (formerly Twitter) social media platform, footage of some “creative developments” that soldiers mostly escape on their own to various combat vehicles is constantly circulating. The grids, also known as hen cages, are designed to provide protection from drone attacks. The Russians have now presented two vehicles at the same time, which are truly special, as they dared to dream more daringly than the addition that was already considered “usual”. The second shows a device originally built as an MT-LB armored personnel carrier, on which the Russians imposed a whole series of “defense equipment”. According to the footage, the vehicle was covered with fishing nets, mattress springs, metal sheets and car tires for better protection:

Of course, it is questionable how much protection similar developments can provide on the battlefield. On the other hand, it can provide some support against the cheap drones attacking with the dropping method, which were widespread in the war in Ukraine. The Russians seem to see fantasy in similar additions.
