A 40-year-old man, the brother of one of the main suspects in the Danka Ilics case, died a violent death, as there were numerous injuries on his body that indicated this – the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Belgrade concluded based on information from Szabad Magyar Szó. However, the police stated in the press release that Dragijević died of natural causes, reports the Croatian Index.

The man on April 6, he was placed in pretrial detention for 48 hours together with his father, because they allegedly helped his brother, To Dejan Dragijević in the transfer of the body of the two-year-old girl who was hit and then strangled. They allegedly hit the little girl with their service vehicle, then after noticing that the little girl was still alive, strangled her and took the body to a landfill.

The investigation is complicated by the fact that the suspects do not speak, so despite the search for the little girl’s body, it has not been found to this day. Neither the men accused of murder nor their family members are releasing details about the murder. However, in the near future, one of the suspects accused of murdering the little girl, Srdan Jankovics, who was driving the service car of the water works on March 26 in Banjsko Polje, may break his silence. Last week, the man, who has been defending himself by remaining silent, requested that a defense lawyer be assigned to him ex officio instead of his legal representative. The prosecution trusts that the man will speak out under the influence of the newly appointed lawyer. In addition, eThe Zajecsari High Prosecutor’s Office ordered a forensic examination of the car that hit Danka Ilicset too.

Later, the parents also spoke: they said, that they are not accepting condolences for the time being, because until they find the body of their little girl, they hope that she is alive.
