Zelensky said.
The President of Ukraine expressed his gratitude to the President of the United States for his unwavering support for Ukraine. He praised the bill’s bipartisan support and the personal contributions of Speaker Mike Johnson and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries to its passage. “The decision of the House of Representatives, which authorizes the confiscation of frozen Russian assets, is also a strong signal for all our partners,” noted the Ukrainian head of state.
Zelensky referred to Russia’s use of “aerial terror” against Ukraine with thousands of missiles, drones and bombs, and informed Biden that minutes earlier the Russian military had launched an airstrike on the Kharkiv TV tower. According to the Ukrainian president, they also discussed their work on the bilateral security agreement and the preparations for the upcoming peace summit in Switzerland.
