An anti-Israel protester threw a flagpole into the eyes of a Jewish student at Yale University on Saturday night, the Jerusalem Post reported. Sahar Tartak, who is a history student at the famous American university and the editor-in-chief of the Yale Free Press, tried to film the participants of the pro-Palestinian demonstration set up at the university. At that time, he had no idea to what extent he would be subjected to atrocity.

As soon as the protesters saw the visibly religious student and her friends, a group of five people immediately blocked their way and did not let them get closer.

The student immediately reported the attack to the university police, but he does not know that any action was taken, not even an ambulance was called to the student. The student was hospitalized, but his injuries were not serious. He was released from the hospital after it was determined that he suffered no permanent damage.

Although the girl is fine physically, the attack took such a toll on her that she has been in a terrible mental state ever since.

According to him, the protesters pushed him and his friends several times. The girl who suffered the attack also noticed that the protesters used, among other things, the symbols of Walid Daqqah, the recently deceased terrorist. The terrorist was part of a cell that kidnapped, tortured and murdered IDF soldier Moshe Tamam in 1984.

According to Tartak, he asked the police to disperse the crowd, but they replied that they needed a permit to do so. The girl also noticed how outnumbered the protesters were against the police. According to his observations, only seven police officers supervised the approximately one thousand activists.

Tartak said, adding that “these students have taken over the university and this is an intimidation tactic.”
