US President Joe Biden “doesn’t understand the Catholic religion,” according to a Michigan bishop. Robert Gruss preached about forgiveness to the congregation in Saginaw the other day, Fox News reports. According to the bishop, we should not only forgive our acquaintances, but also public figures. Whoever harbors anger towards the president is not allowed, the bishop pointed out.
He described his personal feelings towards Biden, who often emphasizes his Catholic religion, as follows:
I have no grudge against the president. I feel sorry for him. I’m not mad at him, he’s just stupid
– said the bishop, adding that he does not use stupidity “in a derogatory sense”, but rather that Biden, who often claims to be a Catholic, “does not understand the Catholic religion”.
Although Bishop Gruss did not elaborate on what he based his opinion on, it is a fact that Biden angered many believers with his stance in favor of gender ideology and abortion. His most recent move, which caused general outrage, was that he had just declared Easter Day as Trans Visibility Day, which many Christians saw as a slap in the face. On the other hand
the White House banned religious symbols from the egg-painting competition organized for the children of National Guardsmen.
Speaking to a Spanish-language Catholic news portal earlier, Pope Francis himself called Biden’s pro-abortion stance incoherent with his alleged Catholic faith.
