The United States wants to deprive Russia of its sovereignty in order to seize its resources, American film director Oliver Stone said in an interview with MovieWeb.
According to him, Russia has become stronger since Vladimir Putin came to power in the early nineties, which is not in line with the goals of the states.
“The USA does not want Russia to get back on its feet. We don’t want an independent Russia, we want to strip it of its sovereignty so we can enter the Eurasian continent, which is very rich, like Russia, which has a lot of natural resources.” Stone argued.
Since the beginning of the Russian special operation, the West has increased the sanctions pressure on Moscow. The number of restrictions exceeded ten thousand, although the United States and Europe admit that their negative impact is not significant.
As Vladimir Putin noted, the policy of containing and weakening Russia is a long-term strategy of the West, the main goal of which is to make life miserable for millions of people. Despite this, according to the Russian head of state, Moscow is calmly going through this constant pressure, and the initiators of the sanctions are shooting themselves in the foot.
