As the minister responsible for church policy and church diplomacy, he has nothing to do with it.
Fat László rejected by DK Ágnes Vadai your question about how Zsolt Semjen do you agree with the letter of the Synod of Bishops seeking to reform the functioning of the Catholic Church.
The Speaker of the House of Fidesz accepted the argument of the minister responsible for church politics and church diplomacy, that the contents of the question do not affect government responsibilities. Semjén did not quote the Basic Law, according to which the state and religious communities operate separately, and religious communities are independent.
Consequently, the assessment of Pope Francis, the leader of the Catholic Church, as a reformer referred to in the written question, means that theological, dogmatic and canon law issues do not fall within the scope of the Government’s tasks and powers.
In her question, Ágnes Vadai previously cited the letter of the Synod of Bishops (published in Magyar Kurír) based on 444.hu, in which it states, among other things, that the Catholic Church must listen to those
- those who have no say in society, who feel excluded, also from the church,
- who have become victims of any form of racism,
- who were victims of abuse by church members,
- who do not share his faith, but seek the truth, in whom the Spirit is present and active.
According to Pope Francis, the synod is anyway
dialogue between the baptized, between the members of the Church about the life of the Church, about the dialogue with the world, about the problems affecting humanity today.
