The Russians say he’s lost, the Ukrainians say he’s there, others say he’s seriously injured.
Valery Zaluzhny is the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the moment, that’s about all we know for sure about him, because sharply contradictory information has appeared about him: according to the Russians, he is missing, according to some, he is seriously wounded, and the Ukrainians claim: the general is in his place, doing his job.
So the Russians claim that Zaluzhny has disappeared. Such news appeared about him, that he has not appeared anywhere in the Ukrainian media since May 8, even though in theory he had as many media appearances as Zelensky. According to Russian information, at the regular meeting of the heads of the military ministries in Ramstein, where they discussed the critical issues of the supply of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine for the upcoming counterattack,
Zaluzsnyj did not even participate online.
In response to this the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced, that the Russians are falsely reporting Zaluzhnyi’s disappearance, he is in his place and doing his job. They added: the Russians’ aim with fake news is to demoralize the Ukrainian army.
“In response” to this such news appeared, according to which General Zaluznyi is alive, but in critical condition in the main Ukrainian military clinical hospital, where the fight for his life continues with the participation of foreign specialists. According to the latest news, on May 8, he was seriously injured in the Dnipropetrovsk region, while checking the readiness of units for a counterattack.
