Disgusting, what a presenter said to Hien: the Megastar singer spoke about it for the first time – Home star

--

Hien he was still a child, only 14 years old, when the country met him in 2008, in the fourth season of Megasztár. Today, she has become a beautiful, adult woman, she celebrated her 30th birthday at the beginning of March this year

Hien after Megastar

THE DTK: I’ll take you with me in his new episode, which will be broadcast on April 28 at 10 p.m. on Spektrum Home, D. Tóth told Krista that he did not regret participating in the TV2 talent show, as he received a lot of love from the audience, and that was all he was interested in at the time to sing.

However, the sudden national recognition also came with the boulevard, which also experienced its dark side.

– Many times I have been shown in a color that I think is not really me, or was me.

His Vietnamese origin is also discussed in the show: he talks about situations he experienced at the time, but only as an adult can see that they were not normal.

– I won’t say from which show, who said it, but now imagine, I’m there as a young girl on stage, and a host comes up and says: “Wow, you’re sexy, I’m going to Thailand next year!” At the time I thought it was a funny thing, that’s what TV is like. Now, looking back as an adult, I see that this is disgusting – said Hien, who still experiences racism, objectification “seasoned with an Asian fetish”.

– I often wish I had fewer followers on social media, but people who follow me only because of my appearance or for other ulterior motives, not because of my work, should not follow me.

Thirty-year-old Hien’s life is divided between Hungary, Vietnam and America, because in 2014 he was accepted to one of the most prestigious higher education institutions providing music training in the United States, the Berklee College of Music, and therefore moved to New York.

– I am an outsider everywhere, Berklee was the first stop where I felt I was better understood and fit in better, but after a while I felt like an outsider there too, and I started looking for other companies from other universities. Thank heaven, I have my best friends, who have been by my side for many years, both in Hungary and America, and in Vietnam I have my relatives and family. I have a very stable base in this respect, but there is this eternal outsider feeling, and I don’t think it will ever go away. It’s somehow in my personality, and I try to see it as a character trait that I can express in my art.
