On April 23, at the Media Hungary conference in Siófok, the program director of the TV2 Group presented the market situation of the company group, the path leading to it and the TV programs of the upcoming autumn season. Gabor Fischer in addition to the previously announced productions, he announced that the 1% Club, which is an interactive country test, will be coming to TV2, as well as the return of Gáspárék to TV2, in a truly “winning” reality show.
In 2024, the period that has passed so far was also successful, as Gábor Fischer emphasized, the two new formats, the Treasure hunters and the Marriage at first sight with the viewers, the former was chosen on average by twice as many as the RTL program running at the same time, while has been at the top of the viewership charts for the past few weeks, and may even be among the most watched programs of the year. Preparations for the second season are already in full swing.
The most anticipated part of Gábor Fischer’s performance every year is the presentation of the programs for the coming period. As previously announced, on April 27, a special VIP edition of last year’s most watched show, the For a bag cat new season, which viewers can watch on weekday evenings from April 29. This year, not one, but two host pairs will help the players on their way to luck, Peti Marics and Brúnó Pető, and their assistant Stana Alexandra, and Szente Vajk and T. Danny, supplemented by Rebeka Kárpáti. This year too, there will be fun, touching and tear-jerking moments, several cars and several million forints will be sold at the game show.
In the fall of 2024, several previous, highly successful programs that have already won the hearts of viewers will return to the screen. In 2024, after a 20-year absence, he will return to the screen Temptation, which will be hosted by Tibi Kasza. The show has already been filmed and based on the preview, viewers can expect a very eventful reality show. One of the most divisive reality shows of last year was, without a doubt, Kőgazdag young people – Rich Kids Hungary. Everyone had an opinion about the eight actors, articles/videos about them were available online. The show is coming back, there will be old and new actors who will be happy to share their luxurious everyday life with the viewers. And the reality shows don’t end here! The uncrowned king of Hungarian reality shows, Győző Gáspár, and his family are letting viewers into their home again, Gáspárék is coming, also on TV2.
In addition to hit shows and big returners, two new formats will be presented on TV2 screens this fall. One is Password – The password, which will be hosted by Ramóna Lékai-Kiss, who has never hosted a competition before, but now she can show the player herself. Stars and civilians will play in the format, which provides a light evening entertainment, guaranteeing a good atmosphere. The show has already been filmed, post-production is underway.
The other format, debuting in the fall, will be a merger event show, the 1% Club, a show that will keep the whole country in a frenzy! The 1% Club is a unique, engaging and humorous entertainment production that tests the nation’s intelligence based on a scientific survey. Success depends on how we think, not what we know, which means that everyone has an equal opportunity to start and play in the studio and in front of the screens. Whether players compete for prize money as a competitor or play as a spectator against their friends and family, by correctly answering increasingly challenging questions, players can enter the 1% club: the elite group of people who can outwit 99% of the population. Magnum Media’s award-winning show has already been a huge success in several countries – distributed by BBC Studios – in Australia, Germany, Greece and France. This year, in addition to Hungary, it will also be shown in the USA and Mexico, as well as in Spain.
Two brand new weekly series are coming to TV2. THE ARMY a series with a military theme, which is the story of a father-son conflict and a mission of revenge about how to overcome your own limits to achieve, forge a team into unity and differentiate between real good and bad. There hasn’t been a series in this genre for more than 20 years, it was time for a new version!
By the fall of 2024, one of the biggest budget Hungarian weekly series about János Hunyadi will be ready. The TV adaptation of the highly successful novel series is being co-produced with NFI and the German Beta Film, the latter will also be the international distributor of the completed TV series, which Hungarian viewers will also see on TV2 under the title Hunyadi – Rise of the Raven.
A huge battle between the two big commercial TV channels can be expected on weekends in the fall as well. TV2 is preparing to conquer viewers with three large-scale shows on the weekends. In a unique way, the channel puts three large-scale shows on its screens, the three “crown jewels”. One of them is the previously announced legendary Megastar, which returns after 12 years. This is joined by the 5th season of Dancing with the Stars and another show that measures the best of the best: this is Star in the Star All Stars. This program is one of the strongest programs on Hungarian commercial television, it ran with great success for 9 “normal” seasons, 4 seasons from Sztárban I’ll be a Sztár leszek!, 2 seasons from Sztárban Sztár + 1 kísik. In Stár, a total of 167 shows were produced under the Sztár brand. In the different seasons of the format, the best of the Hungarian music industry have shown themselves over the years, now the cream of this competition series will once again be on the same stage to fight for the Sztárban Sztár All Stars trophy.
