T. Danny (Telegdy Dániel) hardly needs to be introduced to the teenage age group. In recent years, the 25-year-old artist has started on her own and has achieved a successful career, several of her songs have already plowed through social media – mainly YouTube and TikTok – but television has so far been left out of her life. TV viewers first a Dancing with the Stars they were able to meet him in his last season, in which he and his dance partner, Laura Lissák, marched all the way to the final and ended up on the third step of the podium. After showing his talent for dancing, this year the performer had a different task: the special VIP edition on April 27 Bag cat will be one of the presenters of its latest season.

As we wrote earlier, the two former faces of the show, Majka and Joci Pápai, will continue at RTL, replacing them, the solution was born that this year two pairs will alternate each other in the Sack catin. One duo will be Peti Marics and Brúnó Pető, while the other will be T. Danny and Szente Vajk. At the press event organized in connection with the new season of the production, T. Danny reported to our newspaper that

  • how do you see the situation of young, emerging performers;
  • have you consciously avoided the TV medium until now;
  • how television has affected your career;
  • how quickly they got along with Szente Vajk;
  • does a relationship fit into your life?

He is one of the performers who became known by exploiting the opportunities provided by the Internet. How do you see TV and the media helping to promote a performer these days? Can they rely solely on the Internet?

I think they can rely on the internet. It is another matter that the media can bring a completely new perspective, direction and audience with it, and thus you can also broaden your own horizons. Now I am in the fortunate position to experience both. I think this can work really well if it happens in the order that someone runs on the Internet first, and then the media comes.

We last saw you on Dancing with the Stars, does TV still feel like foreign territory?

The truth is that I got used to it pretty quickly. I’ve always felt that it’s a track that’s pretty body-hugging. Now I know, I have experienced it on my own skin, that I can easily fit into it.

If we look at the example of Péter Dancsó, in his case, the fact that he appeared on a TV show was not well received by the YouTube community. Were you afraid that you would face similar criticisms within the profession?

Honestly? No. I wouldn’t really care if that was the case, but luckily I didn’t feel that kind of pressure.

Did you want to be on TV before Dancing with the Stars, but didn’t have the opportunity?

I’ve always wanted to, ever since I was a kid. I watched TV, talent shows, movies, and I wanted to be an actor, to appear on TV. I was given many opportunities, but not ones that I could say I could accept with a good heart. Then came Dancing with the Stars, which I really did because I wanted to dance, compete and start my life. It was a very good symbiosis.

What types of shows have you been invited to?

For example, to a competition. To programs that are generally available to the majority of people, celebrities and civilians alike.

He will appear in a new role, as a presenter, in Szákbamacská. Have you followed the show before?

I didn’t follow up. I looked into last year’s, it had a good atmosphere, but this year’s turned out differently. His mood became edgier. Of course, maybe I only feel this because I have seen it from the outside, and now I could experience it from the inside.

In addition, for the first time this year, two couples are leading the show.

Yes, I could have felt that way because the two of us ran the show separately, so it was able to run on two completely different lines in parallel.

Three of the four hosts of the show are young performers. How did it feel to see Petit Marics and Brúno Pető not on stage, but in front of TV cameras?

It was funny, but I’m not surprised that the Petis are here and standing in front of cameras. I’ve known them for many years, they’ve always been great, and I imagined them to be like me, we can act in front of the camera.

Did the hosting job scare you?

It seemed like a big bite, since you have to carry an entire show on your back, but it didn’t feel like a burden at all. In fact, it’s more of a challenge. I took it positively, as I had to jump into a task that was unimaginable to me until then. I was confident that I could solve it. It didn’t cause any difficulties, because I didn’t see it as work, but rather as fun and an experience. Fortunately, I was able to work in an environment and with a team that made my job easier, including my colleague and friend Vajk, with whom we hosted the show. It helped me get into that role.

Did they get along quickly with Szente Vajka?

Surprisingly soon. He has a personality that can seem very strict, but he doesn’t overdo it. He’s not someone who takes himself too seriously. Although he is able to create order around himself, he can also let himself go and be humorous, we can laugh together.

To what extent did television influence your musical activities?

I was able to play much less music while we were filming, but he motivated me and pushed me a lot. Now that I have some free time, I can take care of myself and my creative freedom is more active. In the summer, a big dream of mine will come true: on July 19, I will hold my first solo concert in Budapest Park.

What other shows would you be in? Even considering the current palette.

He is very welcome in shows like Baggy. I am absolutely open to anything. I would also like to move around in lighter topics, we’ll see.

As a host or as an actor?

As a presenter or even as a jury member, if I get to that point and if someone would give me their opinion.

In the past month – after appearing on Péter Hajdú’s show – that made the press loud that he still hasn’t gotten over his last breakup. Could the fact that he has taken on television in addition to playing music be a sign that he is trying to divert his thoughts with work?

This is a bit over thought, I just work and do my thing. TV was a big dream of mine, and I’m glad that my life has taken a completely new direction, so it’s not just music anymore.

Would a new relationship fit into your life at all?

It would probably fit, but since it doesn’t, I can’t speak in a conditional mode. Many people condense their relationship into a life where it can’t work, while others don’t want to condense it into a life where it can. Everyone is different, everyone thinks differently. I’m going my own way.
