Two groups of migrants clashed in Horgos, shooting at each other in the early evening hours, locals reported to Szabad Magyar Szó. The guns were still crackling after seven in the evening, while the villagers were waiting for their children to come home from school, or were on their way to a folk dance class.
Olga Stojanović, head of the local Post Office, said that several police officers arrived in the village in the evening.
Locals reported that most of the village was quiet around nine o’clock, but others said that the police continuously arrived at the settlement at half past ten. Around this time, it was possible to produce a group of 50 migrants.
Others, on the other hand, informed our editors that the shots were heard continuously at around 10:30 p.m.: some thought they heard the shots from the football field, others from the Kamarás forest or the highway. Migrants mainly stay in Béla Bartók Street, on the road leading to the small border.
The local citizens are afraid, they are fed up, they say they feel as if a second army has formed in the village, as if they are already taking over, occupying their birthplace. The locals are scared and angry because no one takes them seriously.
Olga Stojanović informed the villagers that on Friday, November 25, 2022, the collection of signatures will start in the Box, for the urgent convening of the extraordinary village meeting. You can sign until 9 a.m. on Sunday, after which I will collect the lists. Again, the signature is on 2 papers, please pay attention to this! WE DON’T HAVE TIME TO WAIT UNTIL DECEMBER!!!! – writes the initiator of the petition on the social media site.
