In a showcase of Taiwan’s burgeoning AI ecosystem, the 2024 AI Expo held at the Expo Dome in Taipei Expo Park featured a lineup of 56 local AI startups, each offering diverse and innovative AI solutions tailored to meet the evolving needs of businesses worldwide.

The emergence of these startups reflects a broader trend observed in the findings of the “2023 Taiwan Startup Ecosystem Survey,” jointly conducted by DIGITIMES, PwC Taiwan, and the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research. The survey revealed that over 70% of AI startups in Taiwan rely on indigenous R&D for their technologies and services, with domestic suppliers dominating the upstream technology supply chain.

Among the standout startups showcased at the expo were ByteLingo, Dr. TC, and iSeek. They each presented distinctive approaches and solutions to address pressing challenges across various industries.

ByteLingo, founded in 2022, has rapidly gained recognition for its expertise in AI translation services. With a team of around 30 professionals, ByteLingo employs Retrieval-Augmented Generation (AG) technology to enhance the accuracy and professionalism of AI-generated translations, particularly in complex domains such as finance and law.

By integrating accounting and sustainability standards with client-provided knowledge bases, ByteLingo delivers high-quality operational reports that meet the rigorous standards of government and international organizations. As companies navigate the complexities of ESG reporting and strive to uphold transparency and accountability, ByteLingo’s AI translation service says they offer a reliable and efficient solution to facilitate timely and accurate communication of sustainability initiatives and performance metrics across diverse stakeholders.
