Donald Trump was “very aggravated” when ex-Playboy model Karen McDougal and Stormy Daniels went on Anderson Cooper’s TV show and aired their dirty laundry on the then-president, according to testimony.
David Pecker said he received a call in March 2018 after McDougal gave an interview on Cooper’s show, when Trump thought that McDougal had an agreement not to give interviews or be on television shows.
However, Pecker had amended the agreement so she could speak to the press, he said.
“Mr. Trump got very aggravated that I amended it and he couldn’t understand why,” Pecker said, adding that McDougal had a two-year agreement but was flooded with press requests.
Then Daniels, a former porn star, appeared on Cooper’s show — and Trump was again perplexed, claiming that Daniels owed him $24 million for breaching the agreement.
“When Mr. Trump called me and asked me if I had seen the Stormy Daniels interview with Anderson Cooper, I said, ‘Yes, I did,'” Pecker said.
He added that Trump said that “she cannot mention my name or do anything like this, and each time she breaches the agreement, it’s a $1 million penalty.”
Trump then said, “Based on the interview with Anderson Cooper, Stormy Daniels owes Donald Trump $24 million,” according to Pecker.
