What is the consequence of the price increase?
– These data must be handled with care, because they are still incomplete. The service providers can even change the prices in the process according to the level of charge. I think that the total increase will not exceed inflation, otherwise they will not be able to sell the seats in any significant way. How much the accommodation has become more expensive can only be determined at the end of the season.
What are the most popular Balaton settlements?
– Hévíz, Keszthely, Siófok and Zamárdi are extremely popular, but I could list almost everything from Vonyarcvashegy to Balatonboglár. In terms of tourism, I think Balatonfüred has developed the most, and it has become a trendy place even from a Western European perspective.
What is the most popular type of accommodation?
– There is the greatest interest in 3-4 star hotels, but recently camping has also experienced a renaissance, many of them have been renovated. Nowadays, there are still houses and apartments for rent, like in the “Zimmer frei” era, but they are much better than they were back then. The demand level of the Hungarian tourist has also increased, many are no longer sure that they would go to a guest house like in the early nineties.
Which is the cheapest and most expensive type of accommodation?
– The cheapest is to hitchhike and spend the night next to the bush on the open beach, and the most expensive is a five-star hotel where a suite costs HUF three hundred thousand for one night.
What can be saved?
“Timing matters a lot.” For example, if you go in autumn, or on a weekday, you can get a discount in many places. Also, the further we are from the coast, the cheaper the accommodation of the same category.
Abroad is often more attractive. Can you really get it cheaper?
