Thanks to the rainy weather, the risk of fire has decreased, so from Thursday the ban on lighting fires will be withdrawn everywhere, except for Bács-Kiskun County, the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) announced.
According to their information, the decision to withdraw the ban was made in consultation with the National Directorate General of Disaster Management. They wrote that, based on the weather forecast, overcast and cool weather is expected in the next few days, with occasional showers. As of Thursday, the authority will withdraw the fire ban in Csongrád-Csanád, Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok and Hajdú-Bihar counties.
Precipitation also fell in Bács-Kiskun, but the amount of this does not justify the withdrawal for the time being, therefore the authority continues to maintain the fire ban in this county, they explained.
Nébih draws attention to the fact that, even after the cancellation of the ban on lighting fires in forest areas, it is only allowed to set fires in windless weather, in designated and constructed fire pits, it is dangerous and forbidden to leave them unattended.
