Horror accident on the M2: the high school boy may have rushed to his death because of his love grief

As Metropol was among the first to report yesterday (April 23), the entire roadway was covered in debris the M2 motorway in the Vác region, after an 18-year-old driver crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with a truck.

According to our information, the 18-year-old man, about to graduate, was driving at high speed on the track when, for reasons still unclear, he crossed into the opposite lane and crashed into a truck. He had no chance of survival: the Renault was literally destroyed by the impact, the force of which is also shown by the fact that the front of the huge truck was also completely destroyed.

Although it was not possible to guess what led to the tragedy for a long time, a shocking and heartbreaking piece of information came to light after the accident. According to one commenter, the 18-year-old high school student from Vác drove into the truck with suicidal intent: the author of the post believes that the young man’s girlfriend broke up with him before the accident, hearing of which the boy was completely devastated. After that, he allegedly left a farewell message, in which he explained what he was up to, then got into his car and drove onto the M2.

Several witnesses claim: the young man overtook a very long line of cars and didn’t have time to get back into his own lane. According to another man who often drives there, the fact that the road in that direction is initially two-lane, however, narrows to one lane at the scene of the accident, so a novice but fast-moving driver can have trouble with it.

According to our information, the man driving the truck was also slightly injured, he was taken to the hospital from the scene, but he was released from the institution the same day. However, the incident also broke him: the driver was shocked after the accident.

– The circumstances of the death are being investigated within the framework of public administrative proceedings – Bianka Szabóné Berki, spokesperson of the Pest County Police Headquarters, told our newspaper.
