Arkansas 1, UAPB 1 — Middle 3rd Inning
Cooper Dossett struck out three in his first inning of work. The Razorbacks’ last seven outs have been by way of strikeout.
Arkansas 1, UAPB 1 — End 2nd Inning
Ross Lovich drew a four-pitch walk to begin the bottom of the second, but he was doubled up when Jalyn Williams had to make a catch in right field, then fired back to first base to complete the double play.
Williams’ catch robbed Ryder Helfrick of an extra-base hit.
Ty Wilmsmeyer struck out looking to end the inning.
Arkansas 1, UAPB 1 — Middle 2nd Inning
Carlos Rodriguez singled to lead off and scored from first base on an RBI double to right field by JaKobi Jackson with no outs in the second inning.
Jackson made it to third when catcher Ryder Helfrick had a passed ball, but Bybee struck out three in a row to strand him at third and keep the game tied.
Arkansas 1, UAPB 0 — End 1st Inning
The Razorbacks jumped on Jordan Jones quickly with a Peyton Stovall single, Ben McLaughlin hit by pitch and Wehiwa Aloy RBI single in the first three at-bats, but it only resulted in one run.
Kendall Diggs flied out, Nolan Souza was out on a bang-bang play at first base and Hudson White flied out. That stranded McLaughlin and Aloy in scoring position.
McLaughlin made it on base at the end of a 10-pitch at-bat. He fell behind 0-2, worked a couple of balls, then fouled off five consecutive pitches before he was hit in the shoulder blade.
Arkansas 0, UAPB 0 — Middle 1st Inning
Ben Bybee allowed a leadoff single but faced the minimum in the first inning.
Jalyn Williams was thrown out trying to steal second base after his single. Bybee struck out Trinidad DeLaCruz, the nation’s No. 2 in batting average, to end the inning.
