Sad news from the Palace: the princess is mourning the horrible death of her husband on her birthday

Even though birthdays are usually a joyous and celebratory occasion, Gabriella Kingston, a distant member of the British royal family, is not turning 43 happily, as she is still mourning her husband, Thomas, who died in February.

Thomas Kingston’s death came as a surprise to everyone when his body was found at his parents’ home in the Cotswolds on February 25. According to the coroner’s report, the banker’s death was caused by a “catastrophic head injury”. The police also found a gun not far from his body. The family announced his death as follows:

“It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son and brother. Tom was an exceptional man who brightened the lives of all who knew him. His death has come as a great shock to the entire family and we ask that you respect our privacy as we mourn the loss.”

The banker’s farewell took place at a private funeral, in the royal chapel of St. James. The funeral was attended by many members of the royal family, 140 close acquaintances and friends, as well as Thomas’ widow and family: William, Prince of Wales, Duke and Duchess of Kent and Princess Alexandra.
