Two Malaysian Navy helicopters collided on Tuesday during an exercise in Peninsular West Malaysia. THE ten members of the crew lost their lives, the rescue teams said, it writes AFPreferring to is Ager press.
“The two helicopters collided during a flight exercise. Military doctors have confirmed that there are ten fatalities,” said Suhaimy Mohamad Suhail, an official of the ambulance and fire service.
Video footage of the crash posted online showed seven helicopters flying low in formation over the stadium at the Lamut Naval Base in the western state of Perak. They were holding a rehearsal for a Malaysian naval event scheduled for May.
As two helicopters separated from the formation and turned to the right, one could be seen hitting the rear rotor of the other. The two planes spun and crashed. In the footage, they can be heard shouting “Allah, Allah, Allah”.
