What has happened on the stock markets so far?
After the fall of the past few weeks, the American stock markets corrected yesterday, the rebound arrived, so the Dow closed with a gain of 0.7 percent, while the S&P 500 rose by 0.9 percent, and the Nasdaq 100 rose by 1 percent.
After that, there was also a largely positive mood on the Asian stock markets, the Japanese Nikkei rose by 0.3 percent, while the Hong Kong Hang Seng rose by 1.8 percent, but the Shanghai market fell by 0.5 percent.
Based on the signs, the rebound may continue in Europe after yesterday’s rise. Based on the position of the future stock indices, the leading European stock indices may open in the positive range.
What can be expected on the macro front?
On Tuesday afternoon, the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (MNB) will present its latest interest rate decision, the most important question of which is how much it will hold back the Hungarian central bank after the recent 75-point cut, given that the forint has weakened strongly in the recent period. The press conference can be even more exciting, where references to the further direction of Hungarian monetary policy can be made. Abroad, it will be worth paying attention to the latest European and American purchasing manager index data.
