Public transport is also hampered by accidents

In the past few hours, there have been several accidents in the capital on the route Hegyalja út–Erzsébet híd–Kossuth Lajos utca, which significantly slow down road traffic, for example near Astoria, BKK reports in its announcement.

On Kossuth Lajos utca and Hegyalja út, only one lane is open in each direction during the technical rescue. The affected BKK flights run about 15 minutes late. Bus 178 is diverted and does not touch the Naphegy tér stop.

On April 22, around 2:10 p.m., an accident occurred at V. Kossuth Lajos utca near Magyar utca. A car and a van collided. Motorists can only use the bus lane in both directions during the rescue and investigation. Buses 5, 7, 8E, 107, 108E, 110, 112 and 133E run 15 minutes late.

Not long after, there was also an accident on Erzsébet híd and Hegyalja út at Sánc utca. A traffic light pole was knocked down in the accident on Hegyalja út. Buses 178 follow a shortened route and do not enter the Naphegy tér terminus.

The authorities are currently working at the scene of the accidents, the Budapest Transport Center asks for the patience of those driving there, the announcement states.
