On Saturday, we received quite a few photos of several police officers taking action in the city center, at the corner of Tisza Lajos körút and Attila utca. Tempers seemed to run wild, and according to our readers’ reports, an incident broke out at the venue due to a scuffle. The police have now also told our editorial office about what happened.
As we wrote on Sunday, two cars collided at the corner of Tisza Lajos körút and Attila utca, then the police came and started the usual investigation. Soon after that, tempers began to flare up, as the argument turned violent.
PROCEDURE WAS INITIATED DUE TO THE EVENTS
We also contacted the Csongrád-Csanád County Police Headquarters regarding the incident, who wrote to our editors on Monday that “on Saturday afternoon, following a materially damaging traffic accident on Tisza Lajos körút, the parties involved got into an altercation, and one of them punched his two partners in the face. The perpetrator was apprehended on the spot by the Szeged Police Department’s patrol officers and then brought before him.
