An 85-year-old British man was hit by two cars while trying to walk across the main road in a village in Cheshire. The old man didn’t want to cross a zebra on the A50, but near a junction, this could have caused the tragedy. The incident is still being investigated, but it is telling that the two drivers have not been detained in connection with the case.
A red Auti TT Quattro and a red Volkswagen Up ran over the man to death. The pensioner’s next of kin have already been notified by the police. Investigators are currently investigating the circumstances and appealing for witnesses. Steve Griffiths the inspector leading the investigation told Metro magazine:
Our thoughts are with family and friends during these difficult times. Unfortunately, this was a fatal accident that resulted in the death of one person. We are now urging anyone with any information to assist the investigation to come forward
the officer said.
