The bodies of a Taiwanese medical student and her boyfriend who killed her were found in Szeged on Saturday, according to a report by RTL Híradójak.
Neighbors told the channel that the girl could only speak English and was not seen much. Based on what they said, the girl was in her twenties, and RTL found out that she was a fourth-year medical student at the university.
The police already announced on Saturday that there was a suspicion of alienation and that a case of homicide had been opened.
According to the channel, the victim’s boyfriend worked as an IT specialist and was fired from his job in the days before the murder.
The man allegedly shot the girl with his father’s hunting rifle and killed himself with it. The man’s parents informed the police that they had not been able to reach their son for two days, after which the police went to his girlfriend’s house, where they found the body. According to RTL, the perpetrator did not leave a farewell note, and it is not yet known exactly when the murder took place and what may have happened between the couple before that.
