Metaphor: ReFantazio is coming in the fall

The Sega under the care of the Studio Zero his new fantasy role-playing game, the Metaphor: ReFantazio, which is also being worked on by the former creators of the Persona games. The game recently received an exact release date, according to which the adventure will start this autumn.

The story begins with the assassination of the king of Euchronia. Since the ruler had no legal heir, according to his last will, the people would take over the empire after his death. The throne is empty, and the fierce struggle for power begins in the empire. Players control a boy living in a small tribe who is imbued with forbidden magic. The task awaits him to remove the curse from his childhood friend, the only possible heir to the throne, a prince.

Real fights are divided into rounds, the key is to exploit the weaknesses of your opponents. Between two battles, players will be able to shape the relationship between the protagonist and his teammates (because there will be several of them). Through role-playing, each character has their own story, personality, and abilities that can be developed.

Metaphore: ReFantazio has been in the works for nearly ten years (it was first announced in 2016), but now fans don’t have to wait too long. If nothing comes in the way, the premiere will take place on October 11. It will then be released for PC, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, as well as Xbox Series X/S.
