Samsung is already talking about the arrival of “MI televisions” in this year’s new products – iPon

--

At the beginning of the year, during CES, Samsung already talked a lot about what innovations can be expected this year. However, the specific offer had not yet emerged, so the company waited until now. At the Unbox & Discover event, the public and the company were able to learn more about the latest developments, and from here the delivery of the new devices will start gradually.

Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, OLED, everything will be here, even sound technology matching the TVs is coming.

Samsung paid the most attention to the Neo QLED 8K televisions, in which the completely new NQ8 AI Gen3 multimedia system chip is deployed. The structure of the chip is not known, but the company tried to emphasize that the included NPU, which serves to speed up machine learning and artificial intelligence tasks, will certainly be up to eight times better than its predecessor. It will be able to provide very good results for 8K Ultra HD upscaling, it is capable of AI content optimization, for example for fast scenes, but it can even improve the sound if needed.

8K AI Upscaling Pro, AI Motion Enhancer Pro, Real Depth Enhancer Pro, Active Voice Amplifier Pro, Object Tracking Sound Pro, Adaptive Sound Pro, it’s hard to list how many different experience enhancers the Neo QLED 8K family provides. In addition, there are dedicated options for different uses. If the user wants to play, there will be the AI Auto Game Mode, which automatically recognizes when it is needed, here artificial intelligence has even been added to the energy-saving mode.

In the Neo QLED 8K line, two model families are coming at the beginning of this year, the QN900D and the QN800D. These will be available in stores in 65, 75 and 85 inch sizes.

For the more modest Neo QLED 4K TVs, the resolution is the primary factor, which is a step back, and this product line will already have three different product families on the palette. QN95D is the best, followed by QN90D and then QN85D. The range of these Neo QLED models is already very wide in terms of screen size, for example the QN90D is available in 43, 50, 55, 65, 75 and 85 inch sizes, while the QN95D and QN85D are available in 55, 65, 75 and 85 inch versions. will be available.

Samsung equips these televisions with the NQ4 AI Gen2 system chip, which, like more expensive devices, supports the acceleration of machine learning and AI tasks. There is an NPU unit in the chip, but it is just less powerful than the top models, but it is still 4 times faster compared to its immediate predecessor. The company also tries to make these devices more attractive in the eyes of interested parties with a bag of different image enhancement solutions, while unfortunately it does not in any case provide details on how many zones the backlight has.

Samsung also equips its new generation OLED televisions with the NQ4 AI Gen2 chip, so they will provide the same image improvement processes as Neo QLED 4K devices of the same category, plus some OLED specific developments will be deployed, for example the OLED HDR Pro process . The company manufactures these televisions partly with its own panels and partly with panels from LG.

Based on Samsung’s report, we can distinguish S95D and S90D types, the S95D comes in 55-, 65- and 77-inch versions, while the S90D only has a 65-inch option for now. It can be said that they will also provide 144 Hz support, and thanks to the Motion Excelrator, this can be used for many contents. All OLED televisions offer 4K Ultra HD resolution and are even Pantone certified.

All 2024 televisions from Samsung can be said to use the Tizen OS operating system. If appropriate, the devices can even provide users with smart home control options, both the SmartThings and Samsung Health platforms will be supported, and with the Smart Mobile Connect smartphone connection you can get even more out of the devices. Samsung already offers a lot of options on the software front, and it is constantly trying to embed TVs deeper and deeper into its entire ecosystem.

2024 sound projectors from Samsung

Samsung has been working for years to be able to offer sound systems alongside its excellent televisions. He put a lot of energy into making sound projectors peak, and as a result, this year’s Q990D model was born, an 11.1.4 channel solution with true Dolby Atmos support. And for this, users can even associate extra speakers to make the experience even more immersive.

The range also includes the S800D and S700D sound projectors, where the goal during development was to create hair-saving, thin constructions that can be easily placed under any television. Each mentioned structure will also support the Q-Symphony technology, among other things, which is used to enable the TV’s speakers to operate simultaneously with the sound projector, thus creating an even better surround sound.

The S800D has 3.1.2-channel sound, while the S700D model offers 3.1-channel sound. The latter no longer has Dolby Atmos, as the speakers directed towards the ceiling are missing, but it will still be able to significantly improve the television viewing experience. The association with all Samsung TVs will be seamless, the designers have paid special attention to this as well, and the devices can automatically adjust the sound accordingly.
